Are you a potter or hand builder? Looking for a space to get away and play in the mud creatively?
Memberships at Paint Your Hearts Out, Art Studio, allows clay artists access to a ceramic hand building area and our pottery wheel area, at an affordable price. Spaces and tools are communal with assigned shelves for storage of supplies, personal tools and work in progress.
To be considered for membership, applicants must:

have a background working in clay or have taken our 6 week beginner pottery wheel workshop to learn the basics
-
feel comfortable working INDEPENDENTLY in a studio without instruction,
-
be able to work in a community
-
and understand the importance of cleaning up and putting back in their place after each session.
Membership includes:
-Come as many days per month you like during business hours. (Wheel throwing not available Tuesday and Thursday nights at 7pm during our beginner classes and 6 week beginner classes)
-Use of studio clay area and glazing area
-Members and Community Table available for hand-building and glazing purposes.
-Use of pottery wheels, slab roller, clay wall of tools, stamps and forms. (Kilns and Pug Mill NOT included)
-Use of our studio glazes and underglazes, wax, assorted tools for both clay and glaze. (metallic overglazes 20% off)
-Assigned (12" T x 19" D x 34" W) shelf for storage of supplies, personal tools and work in progress and drying your projects. (
-The first 25lbs of clay is included in membership as a one-time joining benefit. Additional clay must be purchased from the studio
-Electric Bisque Kiln firing and 1 electric glaze firing per piece included for items created IN STUDIO with studio clay only
Additional clay purchase includes electric bisque and 1 electric glaze firing per piece:

Mid-fire white stoneware clay: $60 per 25 lb bag

Mid-fire brown speckled clay w/ grog: $60 per 25 lb bag

Optional: Other Clay may be requested, Must purchase full 50 lb box of clay for custom orders

-MUST have completed our 6 week pottery wheel beginner class or have previous clay experience. (must be able to provide adequate proof of knowledge)
-Age 16+ to be considered for wheel membership, 14+ for hand-building only
-**Membership does NOT include instruction
-Members are required to respect studio tools, equipment and space.
-Members are required to clean any tools or area they use at end of each session and put all tools back in their place after using.
-Used clay left on our tables or in our buckets becomes the property of Paint Your Hearts Out.
-Work must be tagged with a studio ticket filled out with date made.
-Work produced outside of Paint Your Hearts Out may not be fired or glazed at Paint Your Hearts Out
-Bring a friend, cost $25, per visit per person. The guest uses the members clay and member is responsible for all that the guest does in the studio. The guest is to be with the member at all times, except in the back. Guest's are not allowed back room access. No more than one guest allowed per visit.
-The membership area is for clay work only.
