FAQ's:
1. Do I need a reservation?
Walk-ins are welcome during our Open Paint Sessions, or you can reserve seating for free to plan your visit. Walk-in seating depends on availability. Classes and special events require separate registration.
2. Do I need painting or art experience?
No experience needed! We’ll help you choose your project and colors and get you started. Open Paint Sessions let you create at your own pace, while our classes offer step-by-step instruction.
3. What can I make during an Open Paint Session?
Choose from ceramics, canvas painting, mosaics, glass fusion, DIY hand-building clay, painted wood art, and glass & resin. Everyone at your table can choose a different type of project!
4. How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on the project you choose. Ceramic painting has a $15 minimum per painter, and pieces are individually priced. See our Open Paint pricing guide for starting prices on other projects. Classes and special events have their own prices listed with registration. Â
Â
One (1) non-painter per group allowed at no additional charge. Additional non-painters are charged a $15 sitting fee. This sitting fee can be applied to a donation to the Believe Big Mug program for local cancer patients.
5. How long do we have to create?
All Open Paint sessions, including walk-ins and reservations, are limited to 2 hours. Friday and Saturday sessions beginning at 7 PM allow up to 3 hours, ending when we close at 10 PM.

If you have a reservation, please arrive within 15 minutes of your scheduled time. We ask that all guests plan to finish their projects within the allotted time.

Need a little more creative time? Just check with our staff! Additional time may be available depending on table availability and studio hours, but cannot be guaranteed.

Didn't finish your artwork? You can return another day to complete it for an $8 studio fee. This fee may be waived for qualifying larger projects.

*This policy applies to Open Paint sessions only. Private and semi-private parties have separate time limits.
6. Can I take my project home the same day?
Ceramics painted with acrylics can go home the same day. Glazed ceramics typically take 7–10 days for kiln firing. Clay, glass fusion, and other projects may require additional drying, curing, or firing time. We’ll explain the pickup timing for your chosen project.
7. Can I make pottery on the wheel during Open Paint?
Pottery wheel sessions are booked separately. DIY hand-building clay is available during Open Paint Sessions for those who want to shape and build with clay without using a wheel.
8. Can someone come along without painting?
Absolutely! One non-painting guest per group is welcome at no charge, regardless of the number of tables reserved.

Each additional non-painting guest is subject to a $15 sitting fee. Guests may choose to use their sitting fee to donate a Believe Mug to a local cancer patient instead.

During busy periods, unused seats may be shared with other guests. Private parties have separate participation policies.
9. Do you offer parties and group events?
Yes! We offer kids’ parties, adult and teen parties, group events, fundraisers, and mobile parties. Visit our party pages to explore the options and booking details.
10. Do you offer memberships?
Yes! Our Paint Pass offers savings on Open Paint projects. We also offer a Studio Clay Membership for eligible makers who can work independently. Visit our membership pages for current pricing, benefits, and requirements.
11.  What if I don’t like how my finished project turns out?
Every project is a unique piece of your artwork. Color choices, brushwork, and the natural variations of clay and glaze are part of the creative process. Projects are non-refundable. If we make a mistake that affects your project, you may choose a refund or the opportunity to repaint or remake it. Please review our full Refund Policy for details.
12.  How long will you hold my finished project?
We hold projects for 60 days from the date of purchase. Please pick up your artwork within that time, as pieces left after 60 days are discarded.  For projects not completed on the first night, we hold for 60 days for the painter to return to finish. Then when finished, the 60 day start time starts over.

Arriving 10+ minutes late will be marked as a no show.
14.  Refund Policies:Â
14a. Refund policy on purchased Projects
Every project you paint or make is a one-of-a-kind piece of your own artwork. We hope you love it, but your color choices, brushwork, hand-building clay skills, pottery wheel skills and other creative decisions are part of your finished piece. It is part of learning the art and learning from what goes right and what goes, well, not so right.  Completed projects are non-refundable.  Below is a sample of a few of the things that can happen when learning a new art skill.
Â
-
Clay and glaze can be unpredictable, so we cannot guarantee the final result.
-
Glaze applied too heavily may run, crack or chip, too light and you will see your brush strokes or may feel rough to the touch.
-
We are a community studio, which means that your piece is not the only piece in the kiln, and with the high heat and other glazes pieces, glaze can bubble and spit and sputter during the firing process causing tiny glaze particles to land on your piece and leave unexpected dots during firing.
-
Hand Built Clay may crack at the seams or lose attachments during drying if pieces were not scored and slipped securely.
-
Pottery wheel pieces may crack if not compressed or too much water is left in the bottom.Â
-
Glass Fusion projects are fragile,. If too much glass is added on the top base, or not evenly distributed, the pressure can cause the glass to crack during the curing part of the firing process.
Â
NOTE: We are human and sometimes accidents happen, If that happens to your project, you may choose a refund or the opportunity to repaint or remake your piece.
14b. Refund policy on classesÂ

Pre-paid events are non-refundable. No credits or take-home kits offered.
